Description
Judy Field, 92 years old, is one of our members who lives in an assisted living facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is a poet and would share her work during Shabbat services on Zoom. Another member, Dr. Lynn Hampton spearheaded a project where members of the CyberSynagogue community would combine their abilities to publish Judy’s work. The culmination of this coordinated collaboration can be found in our first published volume of Judy’s work, “Reflections”. It was so successful we decided to get busy working on Purrfect Cats which you hold in your hands now.
Tzivia Frim, an artist, has created the beautiful covers, Trisha Rose of, and also an artist, created the fascinating sketches on the poems, Linda Riegelhaupt performed the editing and Lynn was responsible for the publishing aspect of things.
The love, care and helpful desire of everyone involved truly exemplifies my original vision of a warm, haimish community. It underscores the hidden meaning in God’s command, “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.” The sanctuary being a place within each of us where God’s presence can manifest through loving acts of kindness.
